Standards and Protection
One garment covers several hazards, which matters when your team moves between indoor switching and outdoor work near live plant:
- IEC 61482-2 Class 1, EBT50 9.5 cal/cm² for arc flash protection
- EN ISO 11612 A1 B1 C1 F1 for heat and flame
- EN 1149-5 for electrostatic dissipative properties
- EN ISO 20471 Class 3 high visibility
- EN 13034 for limited chemical splash (fabric level)
If you are unsure how Class 1 box-test protection relates to the incident energy on your arc flash labels, our guide on what arc flash is explains the basics.
Practical Design
This is a working garment. Concealed button and zip closings keep metal away from the front of the body. The elasticated waistband and actionback give free movement when reaching into panels, and the shaped knees take internal kneepads for floor-level work. Storage is generous: zipped chest pockets, a sleeve pocket with concealed keyring holder, side pockets with hidden access, flapped hip pockets and a ruler pocket with tool pockets.

FAQs
Is this boilersuit suitable for MV switching?
It depends on your incident energy calculation. At 9.5 cal/cm² EBT50, Class 1, it suits tasks where the assessed incident energy falls within that rating. Where your arc flash study shows higher values, a dedicated switching suit is required. Check your study or labels before specifying.
What sizes and colours are available?
The 5810 81 is available in sizes XS to 4XL in a yellow/navy colourway, giving EN ISO 20471 Class 3 high visibility for roadside, trackside and site work.
