FAQs
Are these gloves suitable for live electrical work?
No. The Showa 240 provides arc flash, heat and cut protection, but it is not an insulating glove and offers no protection against electric shock. Where contact with live conductors is possible, use insulating gloves to EN 60903 with appropriate leather overgloves.
Can the Showa 240 be washed?
Yes, at 40°C maximum. Note that the manufacturer states the EN388 performance level is not guaranteed after washing, so inspect gloves regularly and replace them if the liner or coating shows wear or damage.
