ProGARM 9720 Lightweight Waterproof Jacket
The ProGARM 9720 is a lightweight waterproof jacket with certified arc flash protection, rated ELIM 23 cal/cm² and APC 2 to IEC 61482-2:2018. It is built for utility, power generation and industrial electrical personnel who need arc-rated, high-visibility wet weather protection they can actually move in. As an authorised ProGARM distributor, we supply the genuine garment with full traceability.
Arc rating and standards
The 9720 is tested to seven European standards, which matters when your PPE has to satisfy an arc flash study and a site audit at the same time. The open arc result is ARC 3 with an ATPV of 25 cal/cm² and ELIM of 23 cal/cm²; the box test result is Class 2 at 7 kA. If you are unsure how those figures map to the incident energy on your switchgear labels, our arc flash information section explains the basics.

- Fully adjustable, removable fold-away hood and mandarin collar
- Taped seams, storm flap and elasticated inner cuffs for waterproofing
- ThermSAFE 50mm FR reflective tape and FR plastic zip

FAQs
Is the ProGARM 9720 suitable for MV switching outdoors?
Yes, provided your arc flash assessment shows an incident energy at or below the jacket’s ELIM of 23 cal/cm². It is APC 2 box tested at 7 kA and ARC 3 open arc rated, and the EN 343 rating keeps the weather out during outdoor switching. Always match PPE to your study, not the other way round.
Does the flame resistance wash out over time?
No. The VXS+ fabric is woven from inherently flame resistant yarn, so the protection is permanent for the life of the garment rather than a chemical treatment that degrades with laundering. Follow the care label and inspect the jacket regularly for damage.
