The ProGARM 6458 is a linesman’s arc-rated coverall built for utility and energy sector work, where the garment has to protect against arc flash and flame while still being wearable with a body harness. It is made from ProGARM’s VXS+ super soft 240gsm inherent flame-resistant fabric, so the protection is in the fibre itself rather than a treatment that washes out. Arc flash protection is to IEC 61482-2 Class 1 with an EBT50 of 9.5 cal/cm², which suits many MV switching and lines tasks identified in an arc flash study.
