The ProGARM 4616 is an arc-rated, flame-resistant trouser in HV Orange, built from ProGARM’s inherent VXS+ woven fabric at 360gms. It is designed to be worn in conjunction with the ProGARM 4608 Jacket for workers on or near the trackside who require garments certified to GO/RT 3279. Because the FR properties are inherent to the fibre, they last the lifetime of the fabric and do not wash out, which matters when garments are laundered week in, week out.
Fabric and Protection
VXS+ is an inherent fabric with instant extinguishing properties against flame and arc flash hazards, rated Class 1 for arc protection. It is breathable and soft to wear, colourfast, and shows less than 3% washing shrinkage, so sizing stays honest over the garment’s working life. The 5cm FR anti-static reflective tape is double stitched for longer life. Do not bleach, do not boil, and use detergent only, never soap-based products. Dirty clothing can reduce protection. Store in clean, dry conditions away from direct strong sunlight.

Do the flame-resistant properties wash out?
No. The VXS+ fabric is inherent, so the FR properties are built into the fibre rather than applied as a treatment. They last the lifetime of the fabric provided the care label is followed: no bleach, no boiling, detergent only.
