Fristads Flamestat 7200 ATSS Arc Rated Shirt
The Fristads Flamestat 7200 ATSS is an arc rated work shirt for daily wear in substations, switchrooms and around energised plant. It is approved to EN 61482-1-2 Class 1 (box test) and tested to EN 61482-1-1 open arc, with an EBT of 9.9 cal/cm² and HAF of 78.0%. A sensible single-layer shirt for labels calling for protection in that range, rather than a switching suit. It sits in our wider arc flash protection range.
Certified Protection Ratings
The certification set is broader than most arc shirts, useful where welding or general flame hazards sit alongside electrical work.

Fristads also publishes an electric arc table of certified garment combinations meeting EN 61482-1-2 Class 2, so where a site label calls for Class 2 this shirt can form part of that system when worn with the specified garments.

FAQs
Is the Fristads 7200 ATSS arc rated or just flame resistant?
Both. It is arc rated to EN 61482-1-2 Class 1 with an open-arc EBT of 9.9 cal/cm² under EN 61482-1-1, and it also carries EN ISO 11612 and EN ISO 11611 flame and welding certification. The arc rating is the figure that matters for substation and switchroom wear.
Can this shirt be used in a Class 2 arc flash system?
On its own the shirt is Class 1. Fristads certifies specific garment combinations to EN 61482-1-2 Class 2, listed in its electric arc table, so worn with those specified garments it can meet a Class 2 requirement. Check the combination against your arc flash label before specifying.
