FAQs
What arc flash protection do these trousers provide?
They are certified to EN 61482-1-2 Class 2 (box test) and EN 61482-1-1 open-arc with an ATPV of 29.6 cal/cm² on the main fabric. That suits most MV switching duties. Always match the garment rating to the incident-energy figure on your arc flash label or study.
Are they suitable for year-round outdoor substation work?
Yes. The GORE-TEX laminate is windproof and waterproof to EN 343 Class 3/3, the highest rain class, and hi-vis performance is EN ISO 20471 Class 2. Taped seams and snow gaiters help on exposed sites in winter.
