Is this coverall arc rated or just flame resistant?
It is both. Tested to EN 61482-1-1 with an ATPV of 13 cal/cm² and to EN 61482-1-2 box test Class 1, so it is arc rated, as well as flame resistant under EN ISO 11612. Check which test method your arc flash study or specification calls for.
What does EN 61482-1-2 Class 1 mean?
EN 61482-1-2 is the European box test for clothing exposed to an electric arc, and Class 1 is the first of two protection classes, tested at a short-circuit current of 4 kA. Many European specifications accept either the box test or the open-arc ATPV method.
