Is the BSD Cooling Vest arc rated?

No arc rating is confirmed for this product. It is a heat-stress management garment intended to be worn beneath your arc-rated PPE, not a substitute for it. Your arc-rated suit, gloves and face protection must still be selected against the incident energy on your arc flash label or study.

How does the cooling vest work?

It works by evaporation. The fabric is charged with water and releases it gradually, drawing heat away from the body in the same way perspiration does. This keeps the wearer cooler and drier during physical work in hot conditions.
